Mohamed Kaouche has worked both as a freelance, and as a newswire photojournalist with the state agency Algeria Press Service (APS). He has photographed for a range of magazines, covering fields as diverse the economy, social issues and sport, and has also worked in advertising. Since 2012 he has been a correspondent for the Maghreb Arab Press (MAP). Kaouche’s awards include first prizes in the Democracy Photo Challenge in the US and in the Arabic Press Awards in the UAE, as well as awards in the Samsung Photo Contest in Algeria and from Professional Photographer magazine in the UK. He has exhibited his work both in Algeria and internationally.
